Introduction to the 2nd Cohort of Young Parliamentary Associates 2018-2019
has done MS (Management Sciences) with majors in finance from Institute of Management Sciences Peshawar. He has an all-embracing research background and has published many papers in different journals. He is currently working as a Young Parliamentary associate (YPA). He is providing assistance to Public Accounts Committee and the Departmental Committee on Finance. He has the honour of writing a detailed booklet on the history, evolution and achievements of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Accounts Committee.
has an M.Phil. Degree in Development Studies from Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad. He has worked with Foundation for Rural Development Peshawar as Program Development Officer and Program Development Assistant. Currently, Haroon Afridi has been working as Young Parliamentary Associates in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly. He is attached with Deputy Speaker Office, Legislation Wing and Rules of Business Committees.
has completed an MS in International Relations from International Islamic University Islamabad and holds a diploma in Conflict and Conflict Resolution through the Global Campus Program in collaboration with Tokyo University, Japan. He has been working as Young Parliamentary (YPA) in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since July 2017. Due to his performance, he has been retained for the second cohort of YPA’s program. Along with Legislation wing this time he has been given additional responsibility of serving in Research and Library Wing. His tasks are to prepare minutes, working papers and research reports for the Secretariat and Honourable Members.
has completed his MPhil in Public Policy from Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad. He has previously worked as a researcher in Academia and News Media. As a YPA, he is working with the standing committee (s) on Revenue and Planning and Development at Provincial assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He conducts the necessary research and compiles the reports of the committee.
is working as Young Parliamentary Associate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly since July 2017. He has Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Institute of Management Sciences, Peshawar. He is currently engaged with the legislation wing, preparing the agendas of future meetings, draft minutes of the meetings and coordination with the relevant departments.
He is also working with the Parliamentary Task Force on Sustainable Development Goals, assisting the Members in aligning the laws with the Global Goals. His areas of focus in the II cohort is working towards strengthening the oversight role of the Provincial Assembly, assessing legislation and private member bills.
is a practising lawyer with interest in services sector. He did his LLB from International Islamic University Islamabad. He is currently working as the Young Parliamentary Associate at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly getting basic Training from PIPS. Due to his experience in Law, he has been working in the Legislation Department and has assisted in the drafting of few bills and working on some drafts and assisting the committees.
has done Masters in Business Administration (Finance) from Institute of Management Studies, University of Peshawar. She has been working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since November 2018. She has been deployed with Women Parliamentary Caucus where she assists in minutes taking, report writing and research work. She also works with the administration section of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly
has completed her LL. B degree from International Islamic University, Islamabad with a distinction of gold medals in B.A and LL.B. She is undertaking a degree in LL.M International Law from the same institute. She has been working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Provincial Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa since November 2018. She has been deployed in Speaker’s office and Legislative wing where she assists in preparing minutes and carries out research-oriented tasks. Besides, she is also working with the Standing Committee on Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Human Rights and Capacity Building Committee
