Mr. Gulzar Ahmed is the Research Monitoring and Evaluation Associate for SUBAI.
He has a voracious interest in research, political economy and institutional development and it is his passion to contribute to the project through innovation and learning. He believes that strengthening the democratic institutions and promotion of human rights are the key element to sort out socio-economic issues in Pakistan. He holds a Master degree in Economics from Forman Christian College University (FCCU), Lahore and Master of Philosophy (M Phil) in Econometrics from Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE), Islamabad.
He has Published three articles in international and national journals and has co-authored two research papers with the Chief Economist of Pakistan, including one entitled “What Drives the Quality of Institutions in Asian Economies: Directions for Reforms”. Before joining SUBAI Gulzar worked with Planning Commission of Pakistan and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
He has passion to serve his community and provides awareness lectures for children and youths in his community on their political and constitutional rights as well as providing voluntary teaching lessons to the children of his community to ensure a quality education for them.
