Kulsoom Zahra

Kulsoom Zahra has completed her Masters in International Relations from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad. She has a brief research experience working in the Agha Khan Rural Support Program and Capital TV Islamabad. She has been working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Legislative Assembly of Gilgit-Baltistan since July 2017. She has been engaged with the Speaker’s office and SDGs Task Force in the GB Assembly Secretariat. She has been assigned to prepare reports and a concept note about the establishment of a Women Parliamentary Caucus WPC in the Legislative Assembly. She is also assisting the Secretariat to keep the official website of Assembly up to date.

 

 Shahzad Ali

Shahzad Ali holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the National Defence University Islamabad. He has a brief research experience at an Islamabad based research Institute. He has been working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Legislative Assembly of Gilgit-Baltistan since July 2017. He is assisting the Secretariat and Members to review legislative documents such as draft Bills, Rules of Procedure, Resolutions, Orders of the Day and Questions. He was part of the team who initiated the GBLA Youth Outreach Program and successfully conducted its first session.

 

 

Syed Basharat Hussian

Syed Basharat Hussian has completed his Masters in International Relations from the National Defence University Islamabad.  He has been working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Legislative Assembly of Gilgit-Baltistan since August 2017. He is deployed in the Research and Publication Wing where he assists the Assembly with coordination and public outreach (press releases). In addition he is assigned to prepare notes, talking points and agenda items for Members of Committees to conduct House Business.

 

 

Syed Tauqeer Kazmi

Syed Tauqeer Kazmi has completed his Bachelors in Political Science from GC University Lahore. He has been working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Legislative Assembly of Gilgit-Baltistan since July 2017. Currently he is working within the Committee Branch of the Secretariat and is required to provide in-depth research and information on various issues to the Members. He is also assisting the Committee Branch of the Secretariat in report writing and minute taking.

 

 

Khayam Beg

Khayam Beg has completed his Bachelors in Political Science from GC University Lahore. He has been working as Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Legislative Assembly of Gilgit-Baltistan since July 2017. Currently he is working within the Public Accounts Committee to provide research support to the Committee Secretariat. In addition, he is also assisting Members to draft Resolutions, Questions and Motions.
