Introduction to the 2nd Cohort of Young Parliamentary Associates 2018-2019
Adil Ali is a young and dynamic individual. He holds a Bachelors degree in Food science and technology, from Balochistan Agriculture College, Quetta. He is currently working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) at the Questions branch of Balochistan Provincial Assembly. His role is to facilitate the staff and honourable member parliaments (MPAs) in question-answer sessions
Imran Khan holds an LLM from University Law College, Quetta. He is a visiting faculty at Zarghoon Law College since September 2017. He is currently working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA), at the Balochistan Assembly. He is deployed with the Legislation Branch of the assembly and assists in the formulation of resolutions and preparation of agenda for the government bills.
|MIR BALACH KHAN
Mir Balach Khan is currently working as a Young Parliamentary Associate in Provincial Assembly of Balochistan. His role is to support parliamentarians with oversight tools and other research work. He graduated in International Development from York University in 2017. His expertise is in human development, global politics and social research. Mir aims to be an educator to all sectors of society.
Naseeb Ullah holds an MPhil in Political Science. His research thesis was focused on the Political Economy of Balochistan. He had worked as Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan from July 2017 to September 2018. He is currently deployed with the Chamber of Opposition and Research Branch of the Assembly and assisting the Secretariat given his prior experience of working in research and legislative branches of the Assembly. Moreover, he is providing research support to the opposition as well government members and staff as and when required.
Sajjad Ali is a Political science graduate from Forman Christian College Lahore. Previously he has worked with Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services, (PIPS) as a Young Parliamentary Subject Expert, (YPSE) and as PIPS Consultant in Balochistan Provincial Assembly, from 2016-2018. He is currently working as a Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) for session 2018-2019, at the Balochistan Provincial Assembly, Quetta.
Shadmana Sami has completed her bachelors in business administration from SBKWU and has received the accolade of a gold medallist, which recognizes the outstanding academic performance she displayed amongst her batch mates. She is currently pursuing her postgraduate degree in management sciences from BUITEMS. She has been serving as a YPA in the provincial assembly of Balochistan since November 2018. She is deployed in the Women Parliamentary Caucus and IT department.
|TAHIRA ISHTIAQ CHOUDHARY
Tahira Ishtiaq Choudary has completed an MPhil in Environmental Science from SBKWU Quetta, Balochistan. She has completed two research projects on climate change and healthcare waste management. She has published an article on “Air pollution” in an international journal with 2.6 impact factor. She has been working as Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan since November 2018. She is deployed with the Women’s Parliamentary Caucus and IT Research Branch of the Assembly and is assigned with research-oriented tasks like preparation of briefs, position papers and newsletters.
Mohammad Yaseen is a graduate from SZABIST University, Islamabad. He has completed 6 Months of Internship Program from Senate of Pakistan. He has been working as Young Parliamentary Associate (YPA) in the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan since November 2018. He is currently engaged with the IPR Branch of Balochistan Provincial Assembly to assist the MPA’s and officials of Branch.
